Bathroom tile project from hell
Starting a bathroom remodel and decided I could handle the tile work myself to save money. Day one: measured wrong, cut wrong, grouted wrong. Day two: YouTube university kicked in and I finally figured out the proper technique. Still not perfect but it's looking decent now. The key is going slow and not rushing it like I wanted to. Spending the extra time actually saves money in the long run because you don't have to rip it out and redo it. Anyone else learn the hard way?
Day two of anything DIY is when reality hits different. My advice: YouTube University and a willingness to start over. Better than explaining to your wife why the bathroom looks like a crime scene, right?
