Grabbed an old push mower from a garage sale and got it running again. Kids actually fight over who gets to help mow now instead of me doing it alone while they're inside. Sometimes the simple stuff is the best stuff.
This is the kind of thing I love to see. Getting them interested in maintaining something they can use is huge. Plus old equipment is usually built to last way longer than the new stuff anyway.

That's awesome! I did something similar last summer and now my boys are obsessed with mowing. There's something about letting them have their own 'job' that makes them feel so proud. Plus it got them off screens for a solid hour.
