Best hiking trails near Denver that are kid-friendly?
We're visiting my in-laws for Thanksgiving (kids are 5, 8, 12). Looking for trails that won't destroy the little one but also won't bore the 12yo. Elevation shouldn't be brutal since we're sea-level people. Any hidden gems you guys know about?
Red Rocks has some easy trails that loop around the formations. It's more dramatic looking than most hiking so the kids stay engaged instead of complaining the whole time.
Honestly with a 5 year old in the group I'd skip the actual mountains. Do the Cherry Creek Trail or one of those suburban nature walks instead. Your in-laws will appreciate getting back in time for dinner.
