Bike trail recommendations for intermediate riders?
My kids (10, 12) are getting pretty confident on bikes and we want to find some proper trails instead of just riding around the neighborhood. We're in the Denver area. Looking for something that's not super technical but not totally flat either—like a 6-8 mile round trip would be ideal.
We tried Cherry Creek Trail last month but it was way too crowded. Something a little more off the beaten path? Any local DadHQ folks know this area?
Bear Creek trail system is your answer. Marshall Mesa loop is perfect for that skill level and the views are solid. 6.5 miles, some decent climbs but nothing gnarly.
seconding Bear Creek. Took my 11 and 13 yo there last month and they were stoked. Just watch the roots after rain—caught my kid off guard but nothing serious.
