Building a Deck - First Time Doing This

So I'm building a deck with my 10 year old and I have zero experience. Found some plans online and bought the wood. Day one was just getting the posts set and man my back hurts. But seeing my son actually interested in something I'm doing is incredible. We're going slow. Anyone got tips for keeping it level? Also where's the best place to get fasteners that won't rust out in like 2 years.

Building something with your 10 year old is going to stick with him way longer than the finished deck. Day one posts are a solid foundation though, keep it up.
