Building a raised garden bed - first time

Started my garden bed project Saturday morning and finished by afternoon. Grabbed some cedar boards from the hardware store, drilled them together, added soil and some seeds. My kids helped which made it take longer but they were actually interested in watching things grow. Hoping we get some decent tomatoes and peppers out of this. Anyone have tips for a total beginner?

Nice! That's the kind of project I dream about doing but never seem to finish. Coffee's still brewing on my end, so props for knocking it out in one day.

That's awesome! One afternoon project is a win in my book. I've been meaning to get a garden bed going with my boys so they can see stuff actually grow. Any tips?
