Building a treehouse with my 6yo and it's actually happening

Started this project last month and thought I'd have it done by now but here we are. Got the main platform bolted to the oak tree yesterday and my son helped me measure every single board. Today we're adding the railings and honestly he's better at holding the drill steady than I expected. Weather looks good through Sunday so fingers crossed we can get the roof framed. Anyone else building one of these? Any tips on making sure the stairs don't kill me when I'm carrying supplies up?

That's awesome dude, treehouses take forever but your 6yo is gonna remember this forever. How's he handling being part of the actual construction?

Building with your kid is the best, even if timelines slip. Getting that platform bolted safely is the hardest part, so you're basically there now.
