Anyone have experience with this? I'm planning to start in a few weeks when school gets out. Have a big oak tree in the backyard. Thinking maybe 8x8 platform, nothing too crazy. Worried about safety but also want them to have something cool to do besides screens. What permits do I need to check on?
Building a treehouse is awesome. Make sure you're using pressure treated wood and that the tree is actually healthy enough to support it. Safety first always.
I've been wanting to do this with my boys. How are you planning to build the platform? Are you going with one of those kits or building from scratch?
Got some experience here. My cardboard box fort obsession expanded to real structures. Just make sure you've got solid branch support and don't rush the build.
