Built a deck from scratch this summer
Took me 8 weekends but it's finally done. 16x12 pressure treated deck. Did a lot of it with my 12yo helping me which made it take longer but also made it way more meaningful. He's actually pretty good with a drill. Now if I can just convince the family to actually use it instead of sitting inside on their phones.
That's awesome man. 8 weekends of work WITH your 12yo? That's the stuff he's going to remember forever. My boys love when I'm building something in the yard - they feel like they're part of it. What'd your son help with the most?
