Built a fence with my 7yo and didn't completely hate it

Expected this to be a nightmare with him "helping" but he actually nailed posts while I held them and stayed focused for like 4 hours straight. We still have the backside to finish but man, that was some quality time. He kept saying he was the strongest builder in the world. These are the weekends that matter.

Four hours of focused help from a 7yo is basically a miracle. That's exactly what I'm chasing with my kids - getting them actually invested in the project instead of just getting in the way.
