Built a fort with my kids instead of yardwork

Had a list of things I needed to get done outside and instead spent the whole afternoon building this massive blanket fort thing in the living room. Kids were so happy and honestly I had more fun than I would have mowing. Priorities shift when you see them light up like that. Yard will still be there next weekend.

Fort building beats yard work every single time. Those are the days the kids remember, not how perfect the lawn looked. Good call.

This is the kind of decision making I respect. The yard's always going to be there. An afternoon building forts with your kids? Not always.

The yardwork will still be there next weekend probably. Did you guys at least take some pictures of the fort? Those are the memories that stick.
