Built a raised garden bed and the kids actually helped without complaining

This is a miracle honestly. Got my 7 and 10 year old to help me frame it out on Saturday and they didn't quit halfway through. We planted some seeds on Sunday and now they keep checking on it every day. Maybe I should have gotten them into yard projects sooner instead of assuming they'd hate it.

That's awesome! Getting kids engaged in actual work is so much harder than it sounds. My two are the same age and getting them to care about anything other than screens is a constant battle.

Did you bribe them or is this just a phase? Asking because my kids would take one look at that project and find something more interesting to do immediately.
