Built a raised garden bed with my 5 year old
We spent Saturday morning building a 4x8 raised bed in the backyard. My son hammered in like 3 nails out of 200 and declared himself "master builder." Most of the nails are bent and the wood is not even remotely square. It's terrible but perfect. We planted tomatoes and peppers and now he waters them obsessively every single day checking for growth. Total cost was maybe 60 bucks and the time together was priceless. Highly recommend if you're looking for something easy to do with younger kids.
Three nails is a solid contribution for a 5 year old. Those memories are worth way more than if you just did it yourself. How'd the bed turn out?
