Built a raised garden bed with my kids

Never thought I'd be the garden guy but my daughter wanted to grow tomatoes so we went for it. Built a 4x8 bed from cedar boards in like 2 hours, filled it with soil, planted some seeds. She's been checking on it every single day which is cute as hell. No idea if anything will actually grow because I have zero experience but the project itself was fun. Thinking about doing another one for the boys so everyone has their own section. Way cheaper and more satisfying than just buying them stuff.

That's awesome! My kids love having fresh tomatoes they grew themselves. Pro tip: the deer might love them too if you're not careful. Had to learn that the hard way.

Cedar bed in 2 hours is legit. I'm always looking for these kinds of projects on my weekends with the kids. Did she help with the building or mostly the planning?

This is such a cool bonding thing. My daughter wanted to do the same last spring and honestly it's turned into her favorite weekend activity. Plus homegrown tomatoes hit different.
