Built a Tree House With My 7yo and I Think I'm a Carpenter Now

Spent all last weekend with my son building a basic tree house platform in our oak. I literally googled everything. We messed up the measurements twice, he hammered his thumb once, and by Sunday afternoon we had an 8x8 platform with a rope ladder. He's been sleeping in his room for nothing but spends like 4 hours a day out there. Honestly worth every bruise and ounce of frustration. This is the stuff he'll remember. Now I'm getting insane ideas about adding a roof next spring.
