Built a treehouse with my 6 year old, probably made every mistake possible
So I decided we were gonna build a treehouse in the oak tree in our backyard. Watched maybe 3 YouTube videos and bought a bunch of lumber without actually having a plan. Started Saturday morning and my son was so hyped, which was great until I realized the boards I got were too thick for the brackets. Had to make a run to Home Depot while he napped. By Sunday we had something that actually looks like a treehouse and feels structurally sound enough. He slept in there last night and hasn't come down except for meals. Totally worth the frustration and the splinters.
Respect for actually doing this. I watched those YouTube videos and got overwhelmed just thinking about it. How sturdy is the final product feeling?
