Built a treehouse with my 6yo and honestly might be my proudest moment
We spent all last Saturday and Sunday out in the backyard. Started with just some 2x4s and a bunch of YouTube videos. My son was so focused, handing me nails and checking measurements with this little ruler I got him. We finished it yesterday and he slept in there last night. My wife thinks I'm crazy for the whole thing but seeing his face when we hammered in that last board... man. Definitely doing this again.
That's awesome! I built a fort with my boys last month and honestly it was one of the best weekends we've had. Something about creating something together that they can play in for weeks after just hits different.
I have to ask - how did you get it to actually stand? I tried something similar and it was leaning by Sunday afternoon. Looking for tips for my next attempt.
