Built a treehouse with my 6yo and I'm actually proud of it
So I decided to build a treehouse last weekend with my son. We spent Saturday cutting wood, measuring stuff (he was terrible at it lol), and Sunday actually building. Nothing fancy, just a platform about 8 feet up in the oak tree with a rope ladder. My wife thought I was crazy but man, seeing his face when we got up there for the first time was worth every splinter. Now he wants to sleep out there every night. Anyone else doing projects with their kids?
This is the kind of weekend mission I live for. Cutting wood, measuring, building something real with your kid? That beats any screen time. How sturdy is it? My boys would lose their minds for a treehouse.
Dude nice work. Those are the moments that matter. My son still talks about when we built the deck railing together two years ago. You should be proud.
