Built a treehouse with my 6yo and it actually didn't collapse
So I spent the last month planning this treehouse with my oldest and we finally finished it Saturday. Nothing fancy, just some 2x6s bolted into the oak tree in our backyard and a basic platform. My kid helped pick out the wood at Lowe's and we did most of the work together. Yeah it took forever and yeah there were some sketchy moments with the drill, but seeing his face when we nailed the final board up was worth every frustrated curse word I yelled when I dropped the circular saw. It's about 8 feet up and passes the wobble test. Pretty stoked honestly.
That's awesome man. Building stuff with your kids is different, isn't it? The fact that it didn't collapse is just the bonus. Bet your son is gonna remember that forever. Those are the moments that matter.
