Built a treehouse with my 6yo and it's actually holding
So last summer I promised my son we'd build a treehouse and I kept putting it off. Finally bit the bullet last weekend. Spent about 8 hours total over two days with some 2x6s, a couple old pallets, and a lot of YouTube videos. The thing is actually solid. We tested it with both of us on it and no creaking. My son thinks he's the coolest kid alive and honestly I'm pretty proud of it. Nothing fancy, just a 6x6 platform about 10 feet up with a rope ladder. Now every weekend he wants to add something new. Next is a pulley system I guess.
Following through on a promise like that takes real commitment. A lot of dads say yes to these things and then life gets in the way. Props to you.
