Built a treehouse with my 6yo this weekend and it actually didn't collapse
Spent Saturday and Sunday building a simple treehouse in our oak tree. My son picked out the wood and helped hammer nails (with safety goggles on the whole time). Used 2x8s for the platform and bolted everything to the tree properly. Cost me about 200 bucks and a ton of sore muscles but seeing his face when we climbed up there was worth it. Just finished the railings today. Any tips on weatherproofing the deck before fall hits?
That oak tree is lucky. This is exactly the kind of memory kids remember forever. The fact that he picked the wood out makes it 10x cooler for him. Nice work.
