Built a treehouse with my 7yo and I'm never letting him forget this
So last Saturday my boy asked if we could build a treehouse. I said yeah sure thinking it would be a quick one day thing. We spent from 9am to 4pm out there with 2x8s, some rope, and way too much optimism. He helped me measure, cut boards, and hammer nails. His hands were shaking on the drill. By the end we had this legit platform up in the oak tree in our backyard. It's not fancy but seeing his face when he climbed up for the first time made every blister worth it. Anyone else doing seasonal building projects with your kids?
This is gold. These are the memories that stick with them forever. My son still talks about the fort we built when he was that age. The actual structure matters way less than the time you spent together.
