Built a treehouse with my 7yo and it actually didn't fall apart
So I promised my son we'd build a treehouse last spring and finally got around to it last weekend. Grabbed some 2x8s and some rope from home depot, spent like 6 hours up in the oak tree in our backyard. Kid was my helper the whole time, handing me nails and asking a million questions. We made a pretty solid platform about 12 feet up and he helped me nail down the floorboards. Best part was watching his face when we climbed up and sat there looking out over the neighborhood. He called it "the best day ever." Already asked when we're making it bigger.
I'm saving this post because I have the same promise sitting over my head. My son asks about it every week. How long did it actually take you from start to finish?
