Built a treehouse with my 7yo and it's actually holding up

Started this project like 3 weeks ago. Got some 2x8s, lag bolts, and a basic plan off YouTube. My kid was skeptical the whole time but man once we got the platform secured he was all in. We spent the last two weekends adding railings and a pulley system for snacks lol. Thing is solid and he's up there constantly now. Worth every dollar spent and every splinter.

That's awesome man, your kid went from skeptical to believer real quick. Those are the moments that stick with them forever, way better than anything you could buy.

Dude this is sick. I've got two kids and honestly half my parenting strategy is just building stuff together on the weekends. Gets them off screens and they actually want to hang with dad.
