Built a treehouse with my 7yo and it's actually not terrible
So I had this crazy idea to build a treehouse in our backyard. Spent all last Saturday with my son hauling lumber, measuring twice (ok fine, measuring like 6 times), and figuring out how to use a drill without losing a finger. The thing actually stands and doesn't look like it's gonna collapse. My wife thinks I'm insane but my kid won't stop talking about it. Anyone else build one of these? Any tips for making it safer?
Man, building stuff with your kids hits different than almost anything else. Did he help with the actual construction or was he more supervising? Either way you're teaching him something way more valuable than whatever he'd be doing on a screen.
