Built a treehouse with my 7yo and it's actually not terrible

So I promised my son a treehouse last summer and finally got around to it this past weekend. We used a tutorial from this YouTube channel 'Backyard Engineering' and honestly it was way simpler than I thought. Used 2x8s, some lag bolts, and a bunch of rope. Cost maybe $200 total.

Best part? He actually HELPED. We both got frustrated a few times but he hammered nails, measured stuff, and was genuinely excited the whole time. We finished Sunday afternoon and he's slept out there 2 nights already.

Anyway just wanted to share because I was dreading this project for months and it turned out to be one of the better weekends we've had in a while.
