Built a treehouse with my 7yo and it's actually structurally sound??
Not to brag but I'm genuinely shocked this thing isn't a death trap. Started this project last summer thinking it'd be a quick weekend thing. Spent way more on 2x8s and lag bolts than I expected, but my kid helped measure and we followed some plans from YouTube religiously. Used three established oak trees in our backyard. It's got railings, a trap door, and enough room for two kids to sit comfortably. We've had like 6 of his friends up there and no wobble whatsoever. Best part? He actually WANTS to go outside now instead of asking for iPad time.
How much did you end up spending total? And more importantly - did your kid actually help or just "help" while you did all the work?
