Built a treehouse with my 8yo and it actually didn't collapse

Spent all last Saturday with my son building a platform in the oak tree in our backyard. Grabbed some pressure treated 2x8s from Home Depot, some lag bolts, and honestly just winged most of the design. My wife thought I was crazy but we got it up about 12 feet high. Kid was so stoked helping me drill holes and haul up the boards. Still standing after a week so I'm calling it a win. Next up is adding a rope ladder because apparently just using the regular ladder is too boring.
