Built a treehouse with my 8yo and it actually didn't fall down

So my son has been begging for a treehouse for like 2 years and I finally committed to it last weekend. Got some 2x8s from home depot, watched way too many youtube videos, and honestly thought my wife was going to kill me when she saw me up there with a cordless drill at 7am. But we got it done in one day. He helped the whole time which made it take twice as long but he was so proud. Used some rope and a pulley system for hauling stuff up. Now he and his buddy basically live in it. Best weekend I've had in a while even though I'm still sore.

That's awesome dude. My 8yo would lose his mind over a treehouse. Two years of begging finally paid off and the fact that it's still standing means you did it right. Jealous over here.

This is the kind of project your son will remember forever. Nice work actually following through on it instead of letting it be one of those someday things.
