Built a treehouse with my 8yo and it only took 3x longer than planned
So I decided we'd knock out a treehouse project this weekend. Simple right? Wrong. Turns out when your kid wants to help with every single nail, measure twice but cut once turns into measure five times and still be unsure. But man, watching his face light up when we put the final board down made every extra hour worth it. Now he won't come inside and keeps inviting the neighborhood kids up. Already planning additions next weekend.
Three times longer sounds about right for working with kids haha. Worth it though. I did a similar project with my son and it became his favorite spot to hang out all summer. Totally worth the extra hours.
The real question is, did you actually finish it or is it still a work in progress?
