Built a treehouse with my boys this summer

Just finished it last weekend after like 6 weekends of work. Nothing fancy, just some 2x4s, a platform, and a rope ladder. Cost me about 400 bucks and way more in dad energy than I expected but man the look on their faces when they climbed up for the first time was worth every minute. Now they sleep in it on nice nights and it's basically the coolest place ever. Highly recommend if you've got the yard space.

Building something with your hands that they can actually play in? That's the kind of dad thing that sticks with them forever. Props for committing those six weekends.

That's incredible. I've been thinking about doing something like this but wasn't sure if my boys would actually use it. Seems like yours loved the process AND the finished product.
