Built a treehouse with my kids and it actually didn't collapse
So I finally finished the treehouse project that's been sitting in my backyard for like 6 months. My 7 year old and 9 year old helped me nail boards to the big oak tree and honestly it was way harder than I thought it would be. Had to redo the support beams twice because I didn't account for weight distribution properly. But it's standing solid now and the kids have been out there all weekend. Best feeling ever watching them play up there safely. Pro tip: use pressure treated lumber and don't cheap out on the hardware.
Nice work! Nothing beats watching your kids help build something they're actually gonna play in. Mine would probably just want to grill next to the treehouse, but I respect the mission.
