Built a treehouse with my kids and it's actually sturdy
So I finally did it. Spent all last Saturday and Sunday building a treehouse in the oak tree in our backyard. My 7 year old drew up the plans on graph paper which was hilarious but actually kind of helpful. Used some old pallets I had, 2x6s from the hardware store, and about a million screws. The thing is solid. My 10 year old tested it out first and I was sweating bullets but it held up. Best part is watching them actually play outside instead of on their tablets. Gonna add a rope ladder next month if I can find the time.
This is awesome! How high did you go? I'm obsessed with tree structures right now so this kind of detail matters to me. Did you use any special brackets or just went old school with nails and wood?
