Built a treehouse with my son this summer
Spent about 6 weekends building a basic treehouse platform in the oak tree in our backyard with my 8yo. It's nothing fancy, just a 6x6 platform about 10 feet up with a rope ladder and railings. The best part is watching him actually use his hands to build something instead of staring at screens. We added some cushions and a pulley system for snacks last week. Definitely recommend this project for any dads looking for quality time that actually teaches something.
This is the kind of stuff they remember forever. My kids still talk about building the fort we made four years ago. How sturdy did you make it?
