Built a workbench in the garage finally

Spent the last two Saturdays building a legit workbench from 2x4s and plywood. Nothing fancy but it's solid and I've got a vise and a pegboard for all my tools. First project was organizing all the random junk that was on my old desk. Feels good to have a dedicated space. Now I need to figure out what to actually build next - thinking a simple toolbox to keep things organized.

A legit workbench from scratch is no joke. That's a solid project. Are you planning to get the kids out there to use it with you or is it more your personal space right now? Either way, seems like the kind of thing that'll be worth it.

Nothing fancy means everything when you built it yourself. That workbench is going to be the backdrop for some of your best dad moments - your kids watching you work, maybe helping out eventually. Two Saturdays well spent.

That's awesome man. I keep meaning to do something like this but between the two kids and work I barely get uninterrupted garage time. What did you build first?
