Built my first raised garden bed and actually survived

Spent Saturday morning putting together a 4x8 raised bed in the backyard. My 5 year old was my assistant handing me screws. Pretty basic project but honestly felt good making something with him. Going to fill it next weekend and let him help pick out what to plant. If anyone's thinking about doing this don't overthink it, pretty straightforward.

Having your 5 year old help makes it so much better. My youngest 'helped' me build something similar and honestly it was slower but way more fun. How's the garden coming so far?

4x8 is a solid size to start with. Not too overwhelming but big enough to actually grow some stuff. What are you planning to plant in it?

Nice work! The fact that you got your kid involved makes it a win. They'll remember helping dad build the garden bed way more than they'll remember the actual vegetables.
