Camping stove recommendation?

Looking to upgrade from our ancient Coleman single-burner stove. We go camping 4-5 times a year, mostly car camping with kids ages 8 and 10. Need something that won't take up half the trunk but reliable enough to cook real meals, not just hot dogs. Any recommendations? Budget is flexible but I don't wanna spend $300 on something that's overkill for what we do.

We switched to a Jetboil for camping and honestly it changed everything. Single burner but heats water so fast and way easier to pack up with kids in the car.

If you're doing 4-5 times a year I'd suggest a two-burner instead of upgrading to full grill. Coleman makes decent two-burners that are way more compact.

What kind of cooking are you doing mostly? That makes a big difference in what to recommend. Are we talking breakfast stuff or full meals?

Weber Genesis is our family workhorse. We've had ours for 6 years and it handles everything from pancakes to grilled chicken. Might be overkill for 4-5 trips a year though.
