Camping trip almost a disaster

Took the family camping for the first time in a tent (we usually do the RV thing). Forgot to pack enough food so we ended up making 3 trips into town for snacks. Forgot the rain fly too so we got soaked the first night. But honestly? The kids loved it anyway and we laughed so hard about how unprepared we were. Definitely trying again but making a better checklist next time.

We usually do RV too but decided to rough it last year. First night was rough but by night two everyone was into it. Did your family end up enjoying it despite the disaster?

Tent camping with the family is no joke. We forgot the tent stakes once and that was a whole situation. What did you forget? Please tell me it's something funny.
