Camping trip completely rained out, how do you guys handle it

Took the family camping for the first time in years. Got there Friday, rain started Saturday morning and never stopped. Tent held up fine but morale was shot. Ended up playing cards in the tent for 8 hours and eating hot dogs. Kids actually had fun but I felt like I failed somehow? Should I have packed more activities or is this just part of camping with kids. We're rescheduling for next month but curious if anyone has tips for keeping things fun when the weather turns.

That's tough for your first trip back out. The adventure is still happening though, even if it's not what you planned. Kids remember the mess-ups more anyway.
