Camping trip disaster turned out okay

We took the kids camping at Lake Leatherwood last weekend and of course I forgot the propane for the stove. Just completely blanked on it. So we ended up cooking everything over the fire which actually worked better than I expected. Made hot dogs, some foil packet meals, and coffee in a beat up pot. The kids thought it was the coolest thing ever even though my wife was giving me that look the whole time. Lesson learned: pack a checklist. We're already planning the next trip though so I'd call it a win.
