Planning a 2 night camping trip about 3 hours out. This will be our first real camping experience with my kids. We're doing a cabin though because I'm not ready to do the tent thing yet haha. Any tips for keeping kids entertained without screens? I'm bringing a portable speaker and some cards and stuff but want to make sure we have enough activities.
Cabin camping is the way to go for the first trip, man. You get the outdoor experience without freezing everyone at 2am. Have a blast out there with the boys!
Three hours is the perfect distance. Not too far, and the kids won't be sick of car time before you even get there. You're gonna nail this.
First camping trip is huge! Cabin takes the pressure off so you can actually enjoy it instead of worrying about sleeping bags and tent stakes. Smart move.
Two nights is perfect length. Any longer and the kids get weird. Have fun out there man, those memories stick with them forever.
Just did our first camping trip with both kids last summer and it was chaos but so worth it. Bring way more snacks than you think you need.

Nice! 3 hours is the sweet spot for a first trip. Make sure you test everything in the backyard first if you haven't camped before. Trust me on this one.
