First time taking the whole family camping. Rented a bigger tent, got a camping stove, life is good. My only worry is my 4yo and the whole "sleeping bag thing". She hates being confined. Anyone else deal with a kid that doesn't like sleeping bags? Maybe I just bring a blanket and pillow instead?
Living in Seattle, I got some news for you: prepare for rain even if the forecast says clear. But honestly camping in the Pacific Northwest is incredible if you don't mind getting a little wet. The kids will remember this forever.
First family camping trip is a big deal. You've got the tent and the stove which is half the battle. My only advice is bring way more snacks than you think you need and keep expectations low on the first night.
