Camping trip tips needed - first time with kids ages 4 and 6
Taking the family camping for the first time in a couple weeks and I'm trying to plan this right. We're going to a state park about 2 hours away for just one night. Got a tent, got sleeping bags, but nervous about keeping them entertained and fed. Should I prep all meals at home or just bring easy stuff? Also any games or activities that work good for keeping kids occupied at a campsite? Don't want them on screens the whole time.
Make sure you've got a first aid kit and know where the nearest ranger station is. Also if either kid gets anxious in the dark, having a lantern in the tent makes a huge difference. You'll do great though.
