Camping trip went way better than expected

Took the family camping for the first time in 5 years. I was dreading it because last time the kids complained the whole time. But this time we brought bikes, a portable speaker, and I made good meals on the camp stove. The kids actually played outside instead of asking for screens. We're definitely doing this again next month. Any recommendations for campgrounds in Colorado?

That's huge! Getting the family back into camping after a rough trip takes guts. What changed this time around? Better planning or did the kids just come around?

Camping is such a gamble with kids but when it works it's the best. We try to get out to the lake house most weekends and honestly the kids just want to be outside with less screens. Glad yours went well!

Five years is a long time! That's awesome it went better. Those camping memories stick with them forever. Did everyone actually sleep decently in the tent or was there chaos?
