Camping trip with the kids got real

Took the boys camping for the first time last weekend at a state park about an hour away. First night my youngest gets scared of the dark and wants to sleep in the car. Second night someone didnt secure the food properly and we had a raccoon situation at 2am. Third night actual decent camping happened. Would I do it again? Yeah but maybe next time I book a cabin nearby for backup lol

Dude, four kids and camping means I've lived through all the camping fears. The dark thing passes quick once they realize the tent is their safe spot. Stick with it, these trips are gold.

First camping trip with the little ones is wild right? My daughter did the same thing her first time out. We ended up letting her sleep closer to us and she felt better. You got this.

Oh man, the dark fear is real. My oldest went through that phase hard. We brought a little headlamp for him to keep by his sleeping bag and it made all the difference. Hang in there, they get braver with each trip.
