Camping with a 2yo—should we even try?

Quick question: we want to do a camping trip with the fam but have a 2yo. Everyone keeps saying "just wait" but I feel like we're overthinking it? We'd do car camping, not backcountry or anything. Anyone taken a toddler camping? Worth the hassle or nah?
