Cooking a full Thanksgiving dinner for the first time

My wife has her mom staying for Thanksgiving this year but she's been through surgery and can't do the cooking. I've never done a full turkey dinner before. I'm planning to start prepping Tuesday and I'm watching like 10 YouTube videos. Turkey, sides, pies, all of it. Gonna be messy but my kids think it's cool that dad's handling it. Any last minute tips for a first timer? Should I brine overnight or is that overkill?
