Cooking with dad - simple recipes that actually work with kids
Been doing Sunday cooking with my kids instead of just watching me in the kitchen. Started with pancakes which was a disaster but they loved it. Now we do breakfast burritos, homemade pizza, and simple stir fry. My 9yo is actually learning real skills and wants to cook dinner for us soon. Takes longer and the kitchen is a mess but it's one of my favorite things we do now. Anyone have easy kid-friendly recipes that don't feel like baby food?
Love this idea. We do the same thing on weekends and yeah the first attempts are messy but the kids light up when they help. Beats them just watching for sure.
