Deck refinishing nightmare

Started sanding our deck last Saturday thinking it would take a day. Nope. Got about halfway through when I realized the old stain is thick and peeling in spots. Now I'm into day 3 of this project and my arms hate me. Wife keeps asking when it'll be done so we can actually use the space again. Never doing this again without hiring someone.
