Grabbed some PVC pipes and connectors from home depot and built a frame yesterday. Today we're covering it with a tarp and some old blankets we don't need anymore. Cost me like 60 bucks total and the kids think it's the coolest thing ever. Already planning to add a rope ladder next weekend.

This is awesome. My garage looks like a fort supply store but man the kids play in those things forever. Budget fort beats expensive toys every single time.

PVC pipe forts are the best. My kids destroyed mine after about two weeks but they had so much fun. Pro tip: use pool noodles on the corners so nobody gets a concussion when they inevitably run full speed into them.
That's such a solid weekend project. The building part is half the fun and then they get their own hideout. You're nailing the DIY dad thing.

How big did you make it? We tried something similar last summer and it took up our whole patio. Worth it though, the kids were outside for hours instead of asking for screen time.
